Preparations for a successful INTERMOT 2016 from 5 to 9 October 2016 are running at full blast and the leading international trade fair for motorcycles, scooters and e-bikes is really picking up speed. Adding to this are also the positive outlooks which are forecasting a continued keen demand in 2016 in the market for motorcycles and scooters. Accordingly, by the end of the first early-booking campaign in January 2016, over 400 exhibitors from 26 countries had already metaed their participation in the trade and consumer fair. A large number of companies have also significantly increased their participation in comparison to the previous event. Virtually all of the renowned manufacturers and brands have applied to participate. Early planning and application has several advantages for the exhibitors: early bookers benefit from better booking conditions, can reserve their desired stand area straightaway and therefore secure an optimal location at the fair. The second "early bird" phase is now running, which likewise offers significant advantages over a regular application.
Due to its status as the leading international business platform, manufacturers naturally also use INTERMOT to present their premieres and innovations and, indeed, to meet over 55,000 trade visitors from over 100 countries. In particular, manufacturers of heavily motorised bikes, such as Horex, Indian and above all, Harley-Davidson will be very visibly increasing their participation in Cologne. Moreover, nearly all of the key players from the product segments of vehicles, parts and accessories, clothing and equipment as well as from the electric mobility segment have registered to participate in the event. In the vehicles segment, these include BMW Motorcycles, Ducati, Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, Suzuki, Triumph and Yamaha, among others. In the clothing segment, for example, Held, IXS, Nolan, Rukka and Schuberth and, in the parts and accessories segment, Alpha Technik, Matthies, Öhlins, Parts Europe as well as Rizoma will be represented.
Across all segments, Cologne has also registered a large amount of interesting new exhibitors, who want to use the impact and attraction of the event to build on their business relationships. To name just a few, these include Bosch, Detlev Louis, Keeway, Remus or Royal Enfield.
The new INTERMOT customized segment is also developing very successfully and this year will be linked to the industry's leading fair as a stand-alone "show within a show" for the first time. In addition to the V2 custom scene, the new wave custom scene of café racers and modern adaptations will also be showcased. Exhibitors here include, for example, vehicle manufacturers BMW, Harley-Davidson and Kawasaki, and Nolan and Rusty Pistons from the helmets and clothing product segment. Among others, Custom Chrome Europe, Motorcycle Storehouse and Detlev Louis will be exhibiting parts and accessories for the customizing segment. Impressive conversions and concept bikes will be on display from Walzwerk Racing and Fred Kodlin.

From 5 to 9 October 2016, the latest motorcycles, scooters, e-bikes as well as the most important developments in electric mobility, accessories, clothing, parts, customizing, tourism and workshop equipment will be showcased on the Koelnmesse exhibition grounds. INTERMOT extends over approximately 110,000 sqm of exhibition space as well as around 80,000 sqm of outdoor area. While 5 October 2016 is still reserved for business and intensive meetings and discussions for the trade, from 6 October 2016, motorcycle fans can discover the highlights and premieres of the world of motorised two-wheelers.
