Eurasia Plant Fair/Flower Show Istanbul 2015 was the 7th edition in this highly successful series of trade events serving Turkey and the region’s professional horticultural and floricultural sector. Taking place annually, the Eurasia Plant Fair/Flower Show Istanbul is strategically located in this established trade and commercial hub for the region. When last held in 2015, the exhibition attracted 333 exhibitors from 21 countries, making it by far the largest and most international exhibition for the region’s rapidly expanding ornamental plants and landscaping market.
On display were a record number of plant varieties suitable for all weather conditions and soil types, indoor and outdoor varieties, the latest horticultural and floricultural materials and technologies for plant production and harvesting, along with landscaping equipment and services. Given its excellent reputation the exciting opportunities these emerging markets can offer, it was no surprise that all available exhibition space was sold at Eurasia Plant Fair/Flower Show Istanbul 2015 and additional venue space is being provided for 2016. This comprehensive display of professional horticultural, floricultural and landscaping goods and services, attracted 11,385 buyers and specifiers from 44 countries with a record 1,232 of those visitors coming from outside of Turkey including, the wider Eurasian region, CIS, Balkans, Middle East and North Africa.
This represented a unique opportunity for the exhibitors to make new business contacts and sell the benefits of using their goods and services directly to potential buyers in multiple markets. Through this first-hand exchange of information, visitors were able to plan with more confidence their future activities and investments. As a result many exhibitors reported numerous serious sales enquiries from national and international retailers e.g. garden centres, construction and landscaping companies, hotels and leisure facilities, wholesalers, estate management companies and 68 different municipalities from Turkey alone.
The Eurasia Plant Fair/Flower Show Istanbul is now recognized as more than just a meeting point of two continents, it’s a global meeting point for the professional horticultural and floricultural sector! In addition to the exhibition, the Eurasia Plant Fair/Flower Show Istanbul hosted a range of highly topical activities including flower arranging demonstrations, educational seminars addressing topical challenges and opportunities and, bilateral trade meetings between Turkish and foreign producer unios.
