MOTOR TRADER www.IMB2B.com COMPANY PROFILE CPC Corporation, Taiwan. In September, SANYANG MOTOR unveiled an electric motorcycle in Tainan using CPC's battery technology with soft carbon negative electrode materials. SANYANG MOTOR is currently working with CPC to establish battery swap cabinets and plans to launch more electric models compatible with CPC batteries. As battery technology is crucial for electric vehicles, SANYANG MOTOR is simultaneously developing its proprietary APh ePower aluminum battery technology and hybrid power vehicles. The PE3 range extender concept vehicle, introduced last year, is scheduled for small-batch production by the end of the year in conjunction with APh ePower, with full-scale production beginning in late 2026. SANYANG MOTOR emphasizes that in addition to conventional fuel vehicles, they will actively develop new energy vehicles in response to growing global environmental concerns in the future. For conventional fuel motorcycles, the flagship touring heavy motorcycle TTLBT features SYM's signature bionic design, incorporating the "Divine Turtle" shell concept with integrated design of side cases and the vehicle, presenting a dignified appearance of divine turtle that attracted significant attention and aroused a lot of discussion at the show. Two other export-oriented models, the CRUiSYM 400 and ADXTG, were developed to meet European market trends and further expand global sales. According to SANYANG MOTOR, in the export market, the company has achieved success in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Central and South America, and the ASEAN. The market share of SYM in the six major European markets i.e. Italy/Germany/France/ Spain/Greece/Netherlands exceeds 10%, with the highest growth rate in the number of registered units in Germany, while the market share and sales in Germany, France and the Netherlands continue to increase. In the African market, Algeria, Egypt, and Morocco have seen significant sales growth due to the acquisition of certifications and the introduction of competitive models. In Latin America, sales in Colombia (AKT) maintain steady growth, while in ASEAN, overall sales are boosted through the introduction of the new model, HUSKY ADX, in Malaysia. SANYANG MOTOR also indicates that although the scale of Taiwan's motorcycle market has decreased to over 700,000 units this year (2024), the total market is expected to rebound to more than 800,000 units next year, which is the last year of the vehicle replacement subsidy policy. As for export sales, with SANYANG MOTOR's continued introduction of high-quality, high-tech models, it is still expected to see double-digit growth next year (2025).
