ISAN was started in the year 1993 with a belief that inflow of proper guidance & knowledge can transform farming into a vibrant profes- sion. The very first edition of KISAN got an overwhelm- ing response from the farming community. The main objective of the show was, and will always be, to serve our farmers ! Phenomenal Response : After understanding the quest of our farmers in the first edition of KISAN, the second edition was planned a year later in 1995. This time to an even grander and phenom- enal response from the farming community. More than 200,000+ farmers gathered during the 5 day KISAN show back then in the year 1995. KISAN hosted in Karnataka : KISAN show was then expanded to Karnataka, hosting it at Bangalore in the year 1997. The purpose was to reach out to farmers of different states and sectors. KISAN was then organized alternative year in Pune and Bangalore for 6 years. KISAN hosted in different locations of India : To understand and cater to the needs of farmers of other regions, KISAN was planned in different cities, such as : Indore in the year 2006 Delhi in the year 2014 Bangalore in the year 2014 Pune Annual Show Completing 25 years : In the year 2017, KISAN completed 25 years as the leading agricultural trade fair.
