preferences, while smartphones make it possible to inte-
grate convenient workout sessions into everyday life.
With this in mind, the Health and Fitness hall will focus on
classic fitness, healthy eating, and mobile applications in
2017. The outstanding design of the central walkway is
sure to be a highlight, with 120 meters of countless live
presentations, and relevant exhibitors close at hand.
As a result of its move to halls B5, B6, and A6, the
Action Sports segment now has its very own East En-
trance, and the Action Sports hall B6 will also be sporting
a brand new exhibition concept for 2017. ISPO POLY-
GON will see the hall partitioned based on a new, stan-
dardized format. In line with the motto "back to the roots,"
higher priority is to be given to products and innovation,
while the issue of sustainability also plays a major role in
this concept. Yet another highlight in the Action Sports
segment is the Watersport Village in hall A6, featuring
disciplines such as kayaking, stand-up paddling and
kitesurfing, where watersports products will be show-
cased and put to the test in a 240 square meter swim-
ming pool. The concept is rounded off by the "Cold Water
Surfing" area, proving once again its relevance to the
year's overall theme.
Women as sports retail customers, as influencers in
the sports industry, and most im-portantly as executives
within companies: Sporting women are set to play an
even greater role at ISPO MUNICH 2017. For example,
the ISPO ACADEMY will feature a series of themed pre-
sentations, a guided tour of the trade fair for women, and
a wide range of networking opportunities.
The Outdoor halls (hall A1 to A3) have something for
everyone–outdoor sports enthusiasts and adventurers
alike, whether in the city or up a mountain! Here, too,
sustainability is be-coming ever more important, which is
the impetus behind the newly initiated Corporate Social
Responsibility platform in hall A1, which will inform exhib-
itors and visitors about sustainable, environmentally
friendly solutions within the sports industry. There will
also be market segment specific platforms, such as the
Outdoor Travel (hall A2) and Vertical Fitness (hall A3)
platforms.
The "Snow and Safety" segment has moved to hall
A3, bringing ski touring and the relevant safety consider-
ations and performance equipment to the fore.
And visitors to the Cross Country area can get to
grips with all of the key trends in cross-country skiing.
Located at the East Entrance, the Retail Lab will
demonstrate how trailblazing technologies, such as com-
munications between dealers, brands, and consumers,
can be implemented.
What's more, the East Entrance will also play host to
the ISPO Showroom, where all of the ISPO services will
be collated and clearly explained. Plus, we can't forget
the vital ISPO JOB MARKET, where employers and fresh
talents within the sports industry can network and where
careers in the industry begin. One thing's for sure, there's
plenty of excitement in store at ISPO MUNICH 2017!
