rare species, and breeding technologies. Together, these elements created a lively commercial environment where growers, buyers, and distributors could meet, exchange ideas, and build partnerships. At the center of this activity was the Business Center, where global buyers and industry leaders held meetings and expanded market opportunities through active networking. IHK2025 also positioned floral art on a global stage. One of its standout attractions, the Global Floral Artist 'Penta Floral', featured five world-renowned floral masters —Ahti Lyra (Estonia), Elizabeth Newcombe (United Kingdom), Attila Nemeth (Hungary), Berit Skjøttgaard (Denmark), and Joo Heung-mo (South Korea). Their contemporary floral installations showcased how flowers can communicate craftsmanship. Meanwhile, flower demonstrations, a body-flower show, the IHK Cup Flower Design Competition, and amateur floral arrangement event welcomed the audience of all levels. Together, these programs brought experts and flower lovers into one space, bluring boundaries between them and offering universally shared floriculture experience. Urban Green Living Through Horticulture While the indoor hall brings global business and floristry together, the outdoor area contributed to showing how nature lives within the city. Nestled in the heart of Goyang, Ilsan Lake Park served not only as a venue but as a guide to embrace the landscape. With minimal intervention and a restoration-focused design, IHK 2025 showcased a vision for horticulture that elevates every- day life. Themed gardens such as the Rose Garden, the Hydrangea garden and community-oriented zones invited citizens to rediscover relaxation, wellbeing, and connection through flowers. Supporting the idea of everyday horticulture, the local producers were centered through flower markets, offering regional potted plants, cactus, bonsai, foliage, and seasonal flowers at accessible prices, strengthening the local economy and embedding flowers into daily routines. Complemented by scenic F&B facilities and spring-season programms, IHK 2025 transformed the park into a space of leisure and celebration in full bloom. As momentum continues, GIEF reaffirms its future vision: to cultivate greener city, deepen global cooperation, and ensure that horticulture remains not only an industry—but a sustainble way of living.
