Founded in 1989, Chin Kuei Co.,Ltd, started out as a manufacturer of medical equipments. Later on, the company switched to making flower pots instead. At the beginning of this changeover, Taiwan was right in the transitional stage from use of porcelain pots to plastic pots, so the demand for plastic products was high. Hence, the transition went very smoothly for the early development of the company. Presently in the Southeast of Asia, many countries are still using porcelain pots, so it is expected that they will eventually adopt plastic pots just like Taiwan. Therefore, Chin Kuei will take advantage of this opportunity and pass on the experience from Taiwan to expand into international markets.
Chin Kuei mainly makes appliances for gardening and offers a diverse range of products including flower walls, plastic pots, plug trays, netting for farming and gardening, hoses and flower / grass containers. At the time of establishment, poinsettia cultivation at Jhuolan Township was at its peak. During this time, Chin Kuei gained much professional knowledge on flower pot cultivation. After gradually reaching a certain scale of operations, the company worked with their orchid customers to expand the business into foreign markets, which helped to introduce Chin Kuei products into all parts of the world. After performing well in ethnic Chinese markets, the company began direct trade by negotiating business with foreign buyers. Currently, exports make up to about 40% of total sales.

Even though raw material prices have been rising these days, Chin Kuei’s sales have maintained positive growth each and every year. At present, the company directly exports its products to countries such as U.S., Canada, Holland, Philippines and Singapore.
